Because borrowing tools from a system that never saw us? That ain’t freedom. That’s repackaged struggle. And I refuse to keep us stuck in shame spirals wrapped in prettier words.


I didn’t tweak what already existed. I BUILT THE KEY.


I burned the blueprint, cracked the code, and ripped the damn cage door off—for good. This ain’t about escaping for the weekend. This is about building lives that don’t require escape in the first place.


I’m Brig Johnson, Master Coach Instructor, Nurse Anesthesiologist, and the Black Woman Thrive Architect behind UNKAGED™. And I created this work because I lived it.

I built this work for the Black woman who keeps it all together while quietly falling apart.

For the ones who are high-achieving but over-functioning.
Who everyone leans on—but who barely has a second to breathe.


I watched brilliant women crash because no one taught them how to regulate, how to recover, how to reclaim their damn self. I didn’t just witness it. I was her.


After five years of coaching high-achieving Black women using the models I was trained in, I started noticing something. My clients weren’t broken—but the frameworks were. I’d wonder, “Why don’t I have that thought?” Or, “Why is my reaction so visceral to this?”


That’s when I stopped trying to force our lived experience into a mold that was never made for us—and started coaching in a way that actually worked for us. What emerged was an entirely new framework: culturally aware, not just trauma-informed. Built on the truth of our nervous systems, our history, and our brilliance.


This work is the product of decades of clinical practice, coaching mastery, cultural clarity, and embodied experience. It’s rooted in neurobiology. Anchored in liberation. And it’s designed to disrupt every lie we’ve been fed about our worth, our strength, and our stress.


They called it burnout.
They called it depression.
They called it "not managing your time."

A: You don’t have to. This is Flex Flow Coaching—which means your session schedule flexes with your real life. We’ll create a cadence that honors your capacity and your season.

❓What if I don’t finish all my sessions in 12 months?

A: This isn’t coaching based on a calendar—it’s based on capacity.

That means you have 12 months (or 13 if you pay in full) to use your 26 sessions however your nervous system, schedule, and season allow.

A: A private retreat experience may be offered in the future, but it’s not guaranteed. If it happens, you’ll have early access to join.

❓Will I have support between sessions?

A: Yes—bounded Voxer access is included. That means you’ll never be left alone to figure it out, but we also protect your space (and mine) so we both stay in flow. I’ve got you between the calls, not just on them.

❓What if something happens and I need to pause?

A: Life be life-ing. If you need to pause, we’ll discuss it together. This is a co-regulated space—not a contract trap.

❓Why is the nervous system such a big part of this?

A: Because your nervous system is where your stress lives.

Not in your “lack of discipline.”
